Why the program Built Green as a residential green building standard in Riverfront Park?

The program, Built Green, is based upon a set of residential building standards only and does not apply to office, retail or industrial building.  It focuses on the science behind building more energy efficient, water efficient, and ecologically friendly residential construction. 

It’s a Colorado and Denver based program with support and effort from the local building community, HBA of Metro Denver, the governor’s office of Energy Management and Conservation, Xcel Energy and E-Star Colorado.  Also, it’s specifically tailored to the Colorado climate and our available resources.

Due to the checklist focus of residential building standards, owners in a future Riverfront Park Built Green condominiums or townhomes can expect advantages such as preservation of natural resources, healthier indoor air, improved comfort, reduced water usage, lower maintenance costs, better energy efficiency, and last but not least, a feeling that you made an environmentally friendly and sustainable life decision.
