Denver just keeps getting greener and greener.
The Denver Post printed an article today outlining the plans for a green parking garage at Denver International Airport (DIA) appropriately named Green Park DIA.
For an estimated $18.6, Green Park DIA will house 4,200 parking space that is expected to use a variety of energy sources including solar, on-site wind turbines, natural gas converted from methane gas, and geothermal energy for heating and cooling. Customers will pay anywhere from $8.95 to $13.95 for a space approximately seven miles away from DIA in Commerce City on Tower Road.
The garage is an alternative for those who live, breath and park green. Construction will tentatively begin next month with the completion of Green Park DIA in Fall 2010.
