Ken’s rocking more details on the transit work in the Union Station Neighborhood. If you want to get a handle on how the bus terminal portion of the station redevelopment works, I’d suggest clicking these words.
The bus barn is a pretty important piece of the puzzle. Buses are a huge part of the City’s transit infrastructure, and FasTracks isn’t going to change that. Right now, the bus hubs in downtown Denver are more concrete bunker than place you’d want to be when the bombs aren’t falling. Fortunately, the design team has taken the time to pay real attention to the bus terminal, giving it the design love - from glass tiled walls to skylights to air vents big enough to actually drive buses through - that such an important component of the station really deserves.
