Once again someone, and this time it’s a big boy called, “Forbes,” has named Denver the best residential real estate market in the country. Okay, that’s not exactly what they said. What they really said is that it’s the best place in the country to buy a home. And, quite frankly, that’s even better news. Why the choice? Well, you’ll either have to go read the two stories for yourself, or click through to get a nice, short summary.
So, when making a list like this one, how does one come to a conclusion? Different ways, really. Here’s how Moody’s made the decision that Denver was the best market. And, here’s how Barbara Corcoran made the decision. But, what about Forbes? Well, they looked at three things:
1. How well are recent sales distributed across a particular market?
2. How have prices held during the downturn?
3. How active are particular markets?
Take it all together and we win.
