Matt Mahoney

Construction Director

Responsibilities

Matt Mahoney is the Director of Construction for East West Partners – Denver.  Matt’s primary responsibility is the project management and construction of residential projects at Riverfront Park in Denver. Matt manages all activities relating to the design and construction of projects. Detailed responsibilities includes the direct oversight of daily construction activities, guiding design schedules, managing architectural and general contractor contracts, managing project financial budgets, home customization, and warranty. 

At Riverfront Park, Matt has been involved in the direct oversight and management of the following projects for East West Partners – Denver:

• Phase 1 Buildings at Riverfront Park (Park Place Lofts, Promenade Lofts, and Riverfront Tower), 90 million dollar project, totaling 197 residential units and 30 thousand square feet of retail space.
• Creekside Lofts, 16 million dollar project, totaling 80 residential units.
• Delgany Lofts, 15 million dollar project, totaling 42 residential units.
• Townhomes at Riverfront Park, 9 million dollar project, totaling 23 residential units.
• Brownstones at Riverfront Park, 14 million dollar project, totaling 16 residential units.
• ONE Riverfront, 20 million dollar project, totaling 50 residential units.
• The Park, 9 million dollar project, totaling 18 residential units.

Background

Prior to joining East West Partners – Denver in 2000, Matt operated his own residential construction and real estate investment company in Denver/Boulder from 1996 to 2000.  The company, Mahoney Real Estate Investments, specialized in analyzing land and property opportunities, which included acquiring, building and improving single family residences in the front range of Colorado.  Before establishing his company, he worked for Speiker Properties, a commercial real estate development firm in Portland, Oregon as a development representative from 1995 to 1996.

Education

Matt graduated from the University of Colorado in 1995 with a major in U.S. History and a minor in Political Science.  Additionally, he completed graduate work in Construction Management from Portland State University.  He has been an active member of the Urban Land Institute since 2001 and is currently working to obtain a LEED AP certification.

Community Service

Matt actively participates in a variety of community service volunteer programs ranging from Colorado Up-Lift Career fairs, building a home for the Habitat for Humanity, and the West Washington Park neighborhood association.

Personal

Matt lives in the Washington Park neighborhood in Denver with his wife Jennifer and two daughters Anna and Erin.  He enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer; hiking, camping, mountain biking, fishing and skiing.
