It’s not my fault the title is so convoluted. It’s the fault of the folks at NBC’s Today Show. Still, despite the host’s inability to name this segment with uber-real estate broker, Barbara Corcoran, Denver gets some pretty mad props in the clip. Here’s what Corcoran had to say about our fair city: “It’s got the most diverse population in America, and not only is it diverse, it’s the most well-educated. So, if you’re hanging out in all those pubs, you’re going to meet educated people. Denver’s all about the outdoors; it’s the biggest sports city and the biggest party city. And, no matter where you live, you’ve got those Rocky Mountains." Click through to see the whole video. Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy NOTE: I have no idea where she gets the idea in her head that Denver is the most diverse city in America. I did a little google work. I’ll save you the effort of typing “most diverse city in America” into your search engine of choice and just give you a link to my results for said search. Suffice it to say, Denver’s not in those results. Oakland seems to come up the most, though I really had to go all long tail on the search term to find this Time Magazine article from 2002. Still, we’ll take the praise. http://blog.riverfrontpark.com/index.php/1108/
