This incredible exhibit currently on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), in partnership with the 2010 Biennial of the Americas, is designed to encourage viewers to re-examine their assumptions about conservation to develop a more complex view of energy use. The picture above entitled “Entre La Vida Y La Muerte” by Mexican artist Gonzalo Lebrija is a stop-action photograph of a car dropped into a lake from a great height, shot just above the surface of the water. The photograph is on display at the MAC as is an actual car suspended outside of the museum. The Energy Effects exhibition accentuates the Biennial’s themes of sustainability, innovation, and art and will run throughout July. http://blog.riverfrontpark.com/index.php/1183/
