It finally happened. After literally five years of work, the Railyard Dogs and Parks and Recreation were finally able to open downtown Denver’s off-leash dog park. There are so many people to thank that I’m going to make you click through to see the list, and I’ll be updating it throughout the day. But, let me thank three people first: Matt Mahoney, Amy Cara, and Brenda Smith. Matt, who works for East West as the Director of Construction, served as the project’s general contractor. Amy Cara, who is the company’s CFO, served as the chief fundraiser. And, Brenda Smith, a resident in the neighborhood, was the chief rabble rouser, never letting anyone lose site of the final prize. Of course, the whole project would not have come together without a huge donation from the Riverfront Park Community Foundation. Of course, the Community Foundation is really just the residents of Riverfront Park. What an amazing group of people; our four-legged friends are lucky indeed! http://blog.riverfrontpark.com/index.php/1234/
