Riverfront Athletic Club - On the Move

What an exciting time this is for the Riverfront Athletic Club. The club will be relocating to Glass House in January 2007, and with that, many improvements are in the works. The new, eagerly anticipated space will expand from 3,600 sf to 9,000 sf, complete with large windows that flood the space with natural light. Some highlights of the new club include:

Strength Training: Existing equipment will be expanded upon and supplemented by the popular Free-Motion line.

Cardio Equipment: All existing cardio equipment will be replaced and the number of machines increased substantially. New machines will feature integrated televisions. Some of this new cardio equipment will available for use in the existing club this September.

Personal Training: High-quality personal training, similar to the program that you've come to know and trust, will continue to be a cornerstone of the club.

Fitness Classes: An enhanced class schedule, including Pilates mat and reformer, cycling, and yoga will be implemented, allowing for the facility to serve those who are not working with a trainer.

Massage Therapy: Back in Shape will continue to keep up their good work, with two treatment rooms in the new facility. Members will be able to schedule massage through the front desk at the club.

Locker Rooms: Nicely appointed locker rooms will be available for use, complete with steam rooms.

Private Club: Membership will be exclusive to Riverfront Park residents only.

The existing Riverfront Park Athletic Club will remain open until the new facility is ready for business in January. In the meantime, a new club manager will be joining us in mid-August to begin implementing these exciting changes. Plans for Union Station Roll Along

Two teams remain in the competition for master developer of Denver's Union Station. The complex nature of the project requires that the chosen team successfully integrate real estate, architecture, design, land use, engineering, environmental, transportation, and civic interests. Not an easy task.

East West Partners and Continuum Partners, under the leadership of Mark Smith and Mark Falcone, have teamed up to create what we hope will be the winning combination of vision and experience. Cherokee and Sage Hospitality, recently named the Union Station Partners team, have also submitted a strong proposal.

The Union Station site encompasses approximately 19.5 acres adjacent to LoDo and includes the landmark building. Redevelopment plans include consolidating regional transportation for the metro area into an intermodal hub, and repurposing surrounding land into a vertical mix of retail, office, and residential buildings.

Regardless of which team wins the honor, redeveloping Union Station and the surrounding land will be great for Riverfront Park. The progressive FasTracks initiative, when paired with transit-oriented development, will improve the connection between the Central Platte Valley and downtown, while also further animating LoDo, benefiting residents, commuters, and visitors.

Proposals for both teams were due on July 24, 2006. Public meetings will be held in September, and a decision is expected in early October. Visit www.denverunionstation.org. for more.

You Are Here - Preview Center Open

East West Partners recently opened You Are Here, a preview center on Larimer Square which serves to answer questions about Riverfront Park, give people who are unfamiliar with the neighborhood a glimpse into what life is like here, and a chance to ask questions about the future development plans of East West Partners in downtown Denver.

The idea is simple: come in, chat, and learn a little. If you want to know more, then we're happy to make an appointment for you with one of our brokers in the Riverfront Park Sales Center. No pressure.

The You Are Here office is designed to reflect what East West Partners projects are all about. Fresh yet playful, inviting yet modern, cozy yet crisp. The gallery-like space showcases not only the homes of Riverfront Park, but also some unique furnishings we've found along the way. Stop in for a taste of Riverfront Park and to see what we're up to. We're open from 10am to 6pm daily.
