The Park | ONE Riverfront Update
Construction on The Park | ONE Riverfront is moving along nicely. The third story was poured on September 10, 2007 and the building is expected to top out on October 15, 2007. As the newest addition to the Riverfront Park neighborhood, and Phase 2 of the recently completed ONE Riverfront, The Park will finish quickly, particularly since the garage portion of the building was pre-constructed with ONE. Construction on The Park should wrap up in May 2008.
Described by Interior Designer, Rikke Jorgensen, as having "seriously sexy" finishes, The Park boasts modern luxury and spacious floor plans in an intimate setting. However, what sets The Park apart is its 1/3 acre private park, which is for the exclusive use of residents. Protected views of Union Station on the city side and Commons Park on the park side are another coveted distinction.
Eleven of the eighteen homes in Riverfront Park's most exclusive building are already under contract, making The Park an opportunity for the lucky few.
ONE Riverfront, The Park's big sister next door, reached completion this summer. The building is complete and 66% purchased. Three furnished model residences are available for touring. Please call the Riverfront Park Sales Center at 303.623.1500 to schedule your personal tour. |

Denver Ranks #2 in Best Cities for Singles
It is easy to see why Denver attracts young, educated professionals, otherwise known as the "Creative Class." Great weather, friendly people, and an animated downtown promise to deliver quality of life and a sophisticated urban experience for the long haul. Add to that a sustainability movement within our City government, a tolerant psychographic, and an urban renewal scene robust enough to make any major city perk up and take notice. Top it off with bike paths galore, parks and more parks, unmatched beer, celebrated sports teams, a food scene that is ready to burst, and you have the beginnings of America's next best city and a place people want to be. So, it should come as no surprise that Kiplinger's recently ranked Denver as the #2 best city for singles, sliding in right behind the nation's Capitol.
On any game day, or on any weekend night- with weekends beginning on Thursday around here- swaths of young urbanites take to the streets of downtown. But, do not be fooled. Not all downtown revelers are 25 years old. In fact, downtown Denver has something for everyone, and all ages seem to have a good time in whatever form is fancied, single or not. With galleries and a gestating theater district, Denver is percolating with opportunities for living the cultured life. And, it will not be long before the Mile High City shakes off the snowboard/ski bum stereotype and redefines what it means to be a urban and outdoorsy. We're fortunate to be right here, right now while it's all unfolding. |

The 80202 Holds the Heat
Over the past few years we've heard our share of bad news about the real estate market- housing slump, real estate bubble, cooling markets, foreclosures, etc. Despite this, new home sales in Riverfront Park have remained strong, and the 80202 ZIP code is holding the heat.
Of the 382 sales in 80202, January through May 2007, "243 were for new homes, a 615 percent increase from a year earlier," reports John Rebchook of the Rocky Mountain News. The spike is credited to sales at Glass House, however experts contend that the energy brought by an increase in people choosing to live downtown, closer to work and entertainment, will remain hot for a while.
Downtown continues to flourish. And it is no surprise. Easy commutes in an era of high fuel costs and gridlock, and a future multi-modal regional transportation district, makes the decision to reside downtown logical. As has been seen for decades around the country, parks and trails and rivers and transportation bordering your neighborhood usually translates into higher values in the long run. As such, Riverfront Park is ideally situated in more ways than one. |

Clyfford Still Unveiled
Only two weeks remain to view thirteen major works from the Clyfford Still Estate. The pieces will be on preview at the Denver Art Museum until September 30, 2007. The artist, whose contemporaries include Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning, is considered an innovator in the Abstract Expressionist movement.
This will be the only chance the public will get to view selections of Still's work until the Clyfford Still Museum opens at the Denver Art Museum in 2010. Many of the works have never been viewed by the public and have been stored since the artist's death in 1980. Per www.clyffordstillmuseum.org, the collection contains:
- 100 paintings dating from 1920 - 1943: Still's student years, Depression-era works, Surrealist-inspired works, and first forays into abstraction.
- 350 paintings dating from 1944 - 1960: Still's "breakthrough period" and the years of "high" Abstract Expressionism. Many canvases span over ten-by-fourteen feet.
- 375 paintings dating from 1961 - 1979: Later works, most of which have never been exhibited.
- 1575 works on paper spanning all aspects of Still's career in such media as pastel, crayon, charcoal, gouache, tempera, graphite, and pen and ink. Few of these have ever been exhibited.
Denver was selected, after an exhaustive national search, as the permanent home of the Clyfford Still Estate, which is more than 2,900 works strong. This considerable cultural asset is an important addition to Denver's emergence as a nationally significant art destination, which is also bolstered by the Leibskind designed Denver Art Museum and the new Museum of Contemporary Art|Denver designed by London architect, David Adjaye. |
